Prior to founding Greenstone, Rahul worked with Ewing Bemiss & Co., a boutique investment bank focused exclusively on sustainability transactions in the US. Ewing Bemiss & Co. was acquired by KMPG in 2015. Prior to Ewing Bemiss & Co., Rahul worked with Lloyds Banking Group in their New York office leading project financing transactions for large independent power producers and utilities.
Rahul has over sixteen years of experience in renewable energy financing and has closed over 50 transactions representing more than $10 billion of capital commitments. He has experience with leading developers including NextEra, EDF, Duke Energy, Terra-Gen Power, GE, Aditya Birla Group, SunEdison, NRG and FirstSolar.
Rahul holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance.
Paresh Thakker is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Greenstone Fund. He is an experienced investment management professional with over 30 years in the industry. His career spans a diverse range of asset classes, including listed equities, minority private investments, buyouts, venture capital, and fund investments, with involvement in over 50 investments. Known for his ability to connect with entrepreneurs and founders, Paresh serves as a mentor for select companies identified by the Marico Innovation Foundation and acts as a trusted advisor to various entrepreneurs.
Paresh co-founded ValueQuest Capital, a long-only value investing boutique, which advises the ValueQuest India Moat Fund. This fund specializes in investing in high-quality listed businesses at attractive valuations. Together with his co-founder, Paresh developed a rigorous investment process for the fund, focusing on identifying and acquiring shares of companies with strong competitive advantages.
Before establishing ValueQuest, Paresh was a founding member of Religare Global Asset Management, which managed over $16 billion in assets under management. Prior to this, he co-founded Evolvence India Platform, a hybrid private equity firm focused on India, raising and deploying over $300 million in investments.
Paresh holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from AIMR, USA. He is also a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and Company Secretary.. In addition to his professional roles, he serves on the board of BSE E-Agricultural Markets Limited, a subsidiary of the Bombay Stock Exchange, and was previously an independent board member of CL Educate, a listed ed-tech company.
Hari is a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, and deal advisory. Prior to Greenstone, he built a strong track record at prominent firms including Aavishkaar Capital, Mirae Asset, YES Bank, and J.P. Morgan.
He has invested in and managed companies across diverse sectors such as circular economy, financial services, edtech, and e-commerce.
Hari holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with a specialization in Finance from SPJIMR, where he was recognized on the Dean’s Top 20 list. He also earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from Mumbai University, where he was a university rank holder. Additionally, he has completed all three levels of the CFA Program (USA).
Nitish has over eight years of experience in investment banking specializing in the Clean Energy sector for the past five years. Previously, as part of Greenstone Advisors, he worked in various transactions involving capital raising (both equity and debt), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and strategic advisory services.
Before joining Greenstone, Nitish was part of the M&A team at BA Continuum India, a nonbank subsidiary of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. His work there involved significant engagements in both sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, providing him with a robust understanding of the financial landscape. He holds an MBA in Finance from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) in Pune and a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SASTRA University in Thanjavur. He has passed two levels of the CFA program.
Rushabh has over four years of experience in investment banking and strategic consulting. Before joining Greenstone, he worked with Incorp Advisory Services, a financial advisory and business consulting firm based in Singapore. His experience encompasses a variety of projects in strategic consulting, financial advisory, and debt transactions.
Rushabh is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Saurabh has professional experience with over 10 years in Investment Banking Operations, Corporate Actions, Commercial Operations, Client Relationship Management, and Trade Finance Operations. Before joining Greenstone, Saurabh held positions at several prestigious firms, including BNY Mellon India, Accenture, EClerx, State Street Syntel Services, BA Continuum, and JP Morgan.
Saurabh holds a Master of Management Studies (MMS) in Finance from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YTIMSR), Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Banking & Insurance from the Faculty of Commerce, Mumbai.
Ravindra is a professional with over 9 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Greenstone, he worked in compliance and capital markets through previous roles at Upstox, Kotak Securities, and BNP Paribas. He brings expertise in transaction monitoring (AML), trade monitoring and a comprehensive understanding of AML and Trade Surveillance regulations and processes.
Ravindra holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Mumbai University.
Sangita is a professional with over 15 years of experience in Admin and Accounting. Before joining Greenstone, she worked with GFK India, a data analytics company based in Gurgaon focused on collecting and processing data on consumer behaviour. Previously, she worked in accounts for four years with Podar International School.
Sangita holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Mumbai University.
Mr Kothari is a prominent Indian finance leader and the Chairman of DSP Investment Managers, which manages approximately $19 billion in assets. He has played a crucial role in shaping the investment landscape in India, having partnered with global financial giants such as Merrill Lynch in 1995 for DSP’s investment banking business and later with BlackRock in 2008. He successfully acquired BlackRock’s stake ten years later, further solidifying his firm’s independence.
Under his leadership, DSP has closed over 1,000 transactions, showcasing his expertise and strategic vision. He is also a member of the Governing Council at the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF).

Mr Parekh is a renowned leader in the Indian finance industry and the former Chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC). During his tenure, he guided HDFC Group to become one of the largest banking institutions globally. Mr Parekh's extensive experience spans board positions with major companies, including NIIF, Castrol India, Hindustan Unilever, Siemens Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra, Indian Hotels, and SingTel. He also serves as an advisory board member for Coca-Cola India, Boston Consulting Group, and Accenture India.

Dr. SSV Ramakumar is a distinguished industry expert with over 30 years of experience in lubricant technology, refinery process research, catalyst development, and nanotechnology. Currently, he is CTO, EVP & MC member of AM Green- a green hydrogen and ammonia producer promoted by Greenko group. He previously served as the Director of R&D at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), where he played a pivotal role in advancing India's energy landscape.
Dr. Ramakumar has been instrumental in shaping India's Green Hydrogen landscape and has led several alternative energy initiatives, including waste-to-energy, solar power, and energy storage programs. His leadership was crucial in establishing IOC’s renewable energy research center, which is focused on achieving net-zero power and water credentials.
A recognized authority on energy transition, Dr. Ramakumar has been appointed by the Government of India to lead key policy committees aimed at facilitating the country’s shift to a non-fossilized economy. Vikram is an experienced investment professional and a veteran in Indian private equity. He co-founded True North Managers, an India-based private equity platform. Over 18 years, he has led capital raising and investments for five funds with a combined corpus of over $1.3 billion. As part of True North’s founding team, Vikram was involved with the firm strategy, team construction, and investor relations. After True North, he joined The Carlyle Group as Managing Director for its private equity operations in India and co-led the firm’s investment activities in India for two years.
Today, he is focused on building a financial technology business he founded in 2022. Vikram has a proven track record of investing in and managing companies across various industries such as consumer, retail, financial services, and industrials.
